Dr. John Lopez is a board-certified neurosurgeon in Fairbanks, Alaska with over 20 years of experience in neurosurgery. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University and earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Lopez completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Colorado and a spine fellowship at the University of California–Davis Medical Center. He is affiliated with Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and The Surgery Center of Fairbanks. An active member of the Fairbanks community and an exercise enthusiast, Dr. Lopez is dedicated to providing the gold standard of spine care to his patients.

Michael Priebe, PA-C
Michael (Mike) Priebe, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with over 15 years of experience. He trained one-on-one for a year with an Army pain specialist in performing trigger point injections for pain relief and has performed more than 3,000 treatments with a high success rate in relieving non-surgical back pain. Mike also has extensive experience as a surgical assistant from his service in the U.S. Army. After retiring from the military, he joined Spine Care Specialists of Alaska to continue serving the Fairbanks community.
Angela Britt, PA-C
Angela Britt, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with over 20 years of medical experience. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and her master’s in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Angela has extensive experience as a surgical assistant, with a background in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Before becoming a PA, she served the Fairbanks community as a registered nurse. Angela volunteers regularly within the community and is dedicated to providing quality patient care with integrity and compassion.
Spine Care Specialists of Alaska is owned and operated by local surgeons; we have families and live and work right here in Fairbanks. Surgeries are performed at The Surgery Center of Fairbanks or at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, depending on the procedure and technology. While Fairbanks is a small town we do get the pleasure of utilizing some of the most advanced techniques and equipment in the industry, such as BRAINLAB and minimally invasive laser surgery techniques.
